Light that turns your house into a home
We put the light exactly where it belongs.
Light is the last thing you think about, but the first thing you feel when you enter a room. Building, renovating, or refreshing your home? We shape your idea of home with light. At Lichthuis, we do not work with standard solutions. We get to know you, we get to know your home, and only then do we start designing.
Why make an appointment at Lichthuis?
Light determines how you feel at home. It brings architecture and materials to life and provides atmosphere, warmth, and comfort. That is why at Lichthuis, we do not start from a fixture, but from you, your home, and the way you live.
Since 1995, we have combined our experience with technical expertise and the latest LED technology. This allows us to create lighting solutions that fit your interior, your daily life, and the atmosphere you want to experience at home.
In our showroom and lighting studio, you can discover for yourself what good light does to a space. You will experience the difference between light colors, intensities, and lighting atmospheres, and see how lighting can completely transform an interior.
From there, if you wish, we can develop a personal lighting concept and guide you from the first idea to the technical development and realization.
New-build lighting study: from the first stone
Building a new home is one of the biggest investments of your life. Every detail is considered: the floor, the kitchen, the finish. But light? That often only comes into play when everything is already fixed. And that is exactly the moment when it is too late to do it right.
A lighting study for a new-build does not start with the fixtures. It starts with the architecture, with your life, with the atmosphere you want to breathe in when you come home every day. We think along from the first plans so that light points, cabling, and lighting vision are aligned from the start.
The result is a home that is not only beautiful but feels as it always should have felt. Every space, every atmosphere, every moment of the day.
For whom?
- You are building a new home and want to take light seriously from the start
- You don’t want to make compromises later on something you will see and feel for the rest of your life
- You are working with an architect and are looking for a lighting partner who thinks along at the same level
Renovation lighting study: rediscovering your home
Renovating is starting over with what is already there. New spaces, new possibilities, but also the moment to set right things that never quite worked. And light is almost always one of them.
In a renovation, the lighting plan is at least as important as the new floor or the redesigned kitchen. We analyze your spaces from scratch. How does the daylight fall, what atmosphere do you want to create, what are you missing now, and how do we solve that? From that analysis, we build a new lighting plan that fits your renovated home.
No catalog solution. No quick choice that you will regret in five years. But a thoughtful lighting design that finishes your renovation as it deserves.
For whom?
- You are renovating your home and want to tackle the lighting thoroughly at the same time
- You want to move, add, or completely revise light points
- You have always felt that the light in your home wasn’t right
what we do
Sometimes you already know what you want. The light points are fixed, the space is set. But which fixture fits here? Which light source provides the atmosphere you’re looking for? That is exactly where lighting advice begins.
Every space is thoroughly examined. We analyze architecture, materials, and rhythm until we know exactly where each light should fall.
Your home or space is finished, but does it feel that way? We redefine how your space feels, with light as the only intervention.
Sometimes the perfect lighting solution isn’t there. Not because it’s impossible, but because it doesn’t yet exist in the form your space requires. For those projects, we have custom-made solutions.
Personal from start to finish
A lighting project at Lichthuis always starts with a conversation. No quote, no catalog: just listening. To how you live, what you find beautiful, what feeling you are looking for. Only once we know that do we start designing.
We guide you through every step: from the first sketch to the evening you step into your home for the first time and feel that everything is right. That moment is what we work towards every time.
