Lighting advice: the right light in the right place

lighting advice

We put the light exactly where it counts.

Sometimes the light points are already fixed, the space is set. But which fixture fits here? Which light source provides the atmosphere you are looking for? That is exactly where lighting advice begins.

We listen to what you need, not just technically, but also emotionally. What should this space radiate? How do you use it? Which light fits the architecture, the materials, the life that takes place here? Based on those questions, we look together for the lighting solution that truly feels right.

Lighting advice is the right step if:

  • You have already determined the light points but do not know which fixture or light source fits them
  • You want to tackle one room without starting a full lighting project
  • You are looking for a professional opinion on your lighting idea

Our process

For a first introduction, we would love to welcome you to our showroom and lighting studio. There we will let you experience what light can mean for your project today.

During this first conversation, we get to know your project, your daily habits, and your wishes better. Together we look at what Lichthuis can do for you.

Do you feel that we are the right partner to guide you? Then we get to work.

We translate your wishes, our expertise, and our creativity into a lighting solution that fits your space, your way of life, and your budget. Afterwards, you receive a clear quote and we work out the final details together.

After the final discussion, your lighting concept can be realized. Our own technicians can professionally install the lighting at your home, or we coordinate the installation with your installer.

After the installation, one of our lighting experts will drop by to correctly aim the spots, set the lighting scenes, and check everything carefully one last time.

Frequently asked questions

  • To ensure the first meeting with Lichthuis goes as smoothly as possible, it is best to bring some photos of the current situation. Does it concern an entire room or home? Then also bring the floor plans of the existing and/or new situation.

Do you already have interior plans or other information about your project? Be sure to bring those as well. The better Lichthuis knows your project, the more targeted the advice Lichthuis can provide.

  • Ideally as early as possible in your project, preferably before the renovation works begin. This allows the lighting points and cabling to be provided in the correct locations immediately.

Have you already chosen your new furniture, such as your dining table? Then be sure to come to Lichthuis for advice before the painting works. This way, Lichthuis can still look into any adjustments to the lighting points in time.

  • That depends on the scope of your project.

Are you looking for lighting for one specific light point, such as a pendant lamp above the dining table or a wall lamp on the facade? Then advice from Lichthuis is completely free of charge.

Does it concern an entire room, such as your kitchen or living space, or an entire floor or apartment? Then Lichthuis charges a fee for the calculation and drawing work of the lighting plan.

Do you subsequently purchase the proposed lighting from Lichthuis? Then we will deduct that fee in full from your purchase invoice. This way, your professional lighting advice from Lichthuis is ultimately completely free.

  • Lichthuis also prefers to work by appointment for smaller requests. This allows Lichthuis to take sufficient time to listen to your wishes and provide targeted advice.

Together, we will look for a fixture and lighting solution that fits your space, your interior, and the atmosphere you want to create.

  • Certainly. Lichthuis’s own experienced technicians provide a professional and worry-free installation if desired.

This ensures that your Lichthuis lighting is not only beautifully chosen, but also safely and correctly installed and adjusted.
